This past Sunday, Pastor Daniel announced how God has been working in his and Cassie’s life, transitioning them to a potential new ministry assignment at Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia, SC. He will go in view of a call on January 22nd. While we grieve this loss ourselves, we rejoice at how God has been working through our Pastor. While this may take us by surprise, we know that God has been working out His sovereign plan for Pastor Daniel. We also rejoice at God’s sovereign plan for Friendly Avenue Baptist Church, knowing that just as He has been working in Pastor Daniel’s life and ministry, He is working out His plan for our church. We have been blessed and are so grateful for Pastor Daniel’s leadership and ministry at FABC over the last 5 years. We will certainly miss the Dickard family but are excited to see how God uses them in the days ahead. Be in prayer for Pastor Daniel, his family, and Shandon Baptist Church during this transition. As a staff, we covet your prayers and are here for you.

Rather than proceeding with our Wednesday evening Equip Classes, we believe it is best to unite our church in a focused time in the Word and prayer as we process this time of transition in the life of our church. This special time will be led by our Pastoral staff and will be held in the Sanctuary at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays for the coming weeks. We believe there is power in prayer, and we encourage you to join us.

NOTE: FABC Kids, FA Students, and the Worship Ministry will continue to meet for their regular Wednesday evening programs.
In addition to our Wednesday evening prayer time, we would like to continue our Sunday morning prayer time. As such, we will forgo the plan to return to 2 services for the immediate future. Instead, we will have one service at 11:00 am in the MPR and our church-wide prayer time at 9:00 am in the Sanctuary. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate this season of transition.
