Operation Christmas Child 2024

Throughout July-October, FABC will be collecting items for OCC shoeboxes, and we’ll pack them in November. Each shoebox is an opportunity for kids and their families to hear the Gospel, all around the world! Each Sunday School class will be invited to collect a specific item. If you’re not in a class, you can still donate any listed items by placing them in the bins at both church entrances.

On Sunday, October 27, we’ll share a brief lunch and then have a shoebox packing party. We also hope to gather a team for a trip to Charlotte or Boone to help with the Samaritan’s Purse packing.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: If I want to make a donation for the OCC project, what do I do?

A: If you want to donate to the Outreach (includes shipping) costs, please make the check payable to Samaritan's Purse and turn it in to the church office. If you want to make a donation to buy items for the shoeboxes, make that check out to FABC and note that it is for OCC items. We will then purchase the items with that money.
Q: Since we have a goal of 550 shoeboxes, is every class expected to collect 550 items?

A: While it would be wonderful to have that quantity of each item,  each class is encouraged to collect what they can.  Every item listed cannot be put in every box, so we will use what is collected and divide it to make up our 550 shoeboxes.
Q: When do items need to be at church?

A: We will be collecting from now until the end of October so there is plenty of time to get your items in.
