Seven Churches: Ephesus (Rev. 2:1–7)

Pastor Daniel Dickard opens his "Seven Churches" series by reviewing the Lord's assessment of the church at Ephesus found in Revelation 2:1–7. Regarding the Ephesian church, the Lord gave a word of commendation, a word of complaint, and a word of correction. The church demonstrated commendable behavior, beliefs, and perseverance (Rev. 2:1–3) but was guilty of abandoning the love she had at first (Rev. 2:4). The Ephesians were instructed to remember how far they had fallen, to repent, and to return to the works they had done at first.
