And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

2 Timothy 2:2 - And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

What Is "Disicpleship"?

Discipleship is the God-given, central ministry of the church whereby disciples make disciples.

What Is A "Disciple"?

A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ who has been saved from the punishment of sin ("justification") by trusting in Christ as Savior and surrendering to Him as Lord, and is being saved from the power of sin ("sanctification") by growing in the areas of holiness (our character), obedience (our actions), and love (our motivation) through the spiritual disciplines of abiding in the Word, abiding in prayer, fellowship with believers, and spiritual reproduction.

What Is "Disciple-Making"?

Disciple-making is the act of loving others with the gospel to become followers of Christ and spiritually investing in them with the Word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit to be more like Christ in their thoughts, feelings, and actions through intentional, vulnerable, accountable, life-on-life relationships.

What is the Product of Discipleship?

The product of discipleship is spiritually maturing followers of Christ who are being transformed by Him to worship Him, testify about Him, and make disciples of Him.

What is the Purpose of Discipleship?

The purpose of discipleship is three-fold: (1) for everyone to worship God fully according to His Word, (2) to have His joy in full, and (3) to make His name known in all the world.

In Summary:

Discipleship is God’s plan for every follower of Christ to lovingly invest in others with the gospel of Christ so that they may be found in Christ, become more like Christ, and immitate the ministry of Christ so that Christ may be glorified in all and by all.

Are You In?

If you have never been discipled, ask someone to disciple you! If you have been discipled, form a discipleship group and invite others to join it! You have been commissioned by Christ. Will you be faithful?
